Art & Photography

One thing that makes Dr. Shvidler unique as a surgeon is his artistic side, he has painted many canvases and enjoys photographing the beautiful, natural landscape of the Pacific Northwest. A common theme in his work is the sea, either Puget Sound or the warm waves of the South Pacific Ocean. He has a very painterly, impressionistic style and his best paintings are vibrant compositions, pushing towards abstract shapes, while often capturing a feeling of motion as the wind whips the tops of palm trees, or frothy waves lap the shoreline.

Having an artistic eye helps Dr. Shvidler observe the nuances of a face, so he has an enlightened capability to envision what subtle changes might make his patient more aesthetically appealing. Here are a few of his paintings and a photograph of a stunning sunset over Puget Sound.
