We see this all the time in facial cosmetic surgery, in aging face surgery, in facelifts and rhinoplasty. Many patients today actively search for nose job trends to see what styles of nasal shape are popular in different decades and how preferences evolve. If you look at the models in the 60s and 70s, the traditional look was a very shapely, skinny nose with a miniaturized tip, very sculpted, and a ski slope appearance. In the late 90s and 2000s, we’ve seen sort of this more masculinized look on female models, and we saw a more fuller tip, fuller bridge of the nose. These shifts reflect how nose job trends often move like a pendulum, from smaller and more sculpted to fuller and more natural. And maybe the trend, at some point, will more likely reverse again. I think everybody in our multicultural society tries to kind of go towards the center of mass. I think those trends kind of fluctuate back and forth, like a pendulum that swings back and forth. Looking ahead, future nose job trends are expected to emphasize balance and natural refinement rather than dramatic changes. Patients increasingly want results that fit their face, ethnicity, and personality, avoiding anything that looks “overdone.” I always go for a very balanced look. I don’t believe in extreme looks. And so, my goal with a surgery is always to achieve a very natural, balanced result so that when that person walks down the street people don’t think, “Oh, did you have plastic surgery?” but instead they simply think “You have a nice nose.” Frequently Asked Questions About Nose Job Trends What are the current nose job trends?
